The Mitcham Spirit: More Than Just Hockey
At Mitcham Ladies Hockey Club, we’re all about the Mitcham Spirit — a unique blend of friendliness, support, and a competitive edge. We offer a welcoming environment where everyone can grow as a player, no matter their experience level. Our coach runs training sessions on Wednesday evenings, but we understand that life can get busy with work and family commitments. That’s why we encourage consistent participation but make sure no one feels left out if they can’t always make it.
A Year with Mitcham: Key Events
September: We kick off the season with a friendly match and our annual Cake Party — a perfect chance to meet new teammates and celebrate the start of the season.
Mid-Season (December): The last match of the year is followed by our Christmas Party at the Rose & Crown — a highlight of the club’s social calendar.
January: After the holidays, we jump straight into the second half of the season.
Late March/Early April: As the season comes to a close, we switch to Parkrun on Saturdays to keep the team spirit alive in the off-season.
May-July: We join the Summer League for fortnightly matches on weekday evenings.
Socials & Fun Activities
